does all windows xp software work on windows vista?

Myesha Zerbe: THE SOFTWARE LIKE MS OFFICE ETC WORK WITH VISTA. BUT YOUR HARDWARE DRIVERS SOFTWARE DID NOT SUPPORT VISTA. YOU CAN ONLY GET VISTA DRIVERS FROM MICRO SOFT ONLY.

Derrick Cacioppo: No. Actually only about 60% of windows xp software works with windows vista. Software that has been produced by Microsoft will work, but software from other vendors tends to install and not function properly.

Elmo Tervo: no!!!!!!!!!

Scot Rotruck: no it does not. most software works, but some does not.

Dan Seen: I don't think so. You best bet is, before you buy a software check to see if it's Vista Compatible.

Marcellus Yoshimori: Not by a long shot. What you need to do is check system requirements of all your software first. However many software manufacturers are releasing patches and software updates, so the situation is improving. So dont bin all your XP software, just because it wont work with Vista now doesnt mean it wont work in the future....Show m! ore

Sibyl Siwik: Not by any means. Software companies have a long way to go before it will all work on vista. Reminds me of when windows 2000 first came out.
