What is the most expensive motorcycle ?

Curt Broadhead: The most expensive bikes are custom cruisers. One-offs. Like the bikes Jesse James makes on that TV show. They can easily cost $50-70k, or more.In the same category (pricewise) are collectors' bikes, usually vintage or antique. A 1950 Vincent Black Shadow in good condition can go for $60,000. (That's the Holy Grail for Britbike lovers). A Harley Davidson or Indian from the 1930s can get into the 50s or 60s.The most expensive production bikes are also cruisers. Big Dog, for instance, and Boss Hoss (this company shoehorns a Chevy V8 into a motorcycle frame). After that there's BMW. Their production bikes get into the low 30s, with accessories and options and everything. A Honda Gold Wing can get into the mid 20s.The Dodge Tomahawk is not actually available for purchase. There's another bike, I forget the name, that uses a small turbine engine from a helicopter. It's over $100,000. Jay Leno has one. But I don't think you can buy them anymore. I thin! k they made 5 or 6 of them....Show more

Travis Sherrock: motorcycles is motorcycles vehicles is vehicles relaxing even on a million,2,3,4 or18 wheels is relaxing!!! I trip a ( giggle) 50 cc scooter to get me to artwork I stress a vehicle all day 5 days of the week ( then get onto the giggle) and loosen up by skill of going for a spin on the weekends i'm getting on my vanvan one hundred twenty five and discover the lanes tracks a trails or the TDM 850 with open pipes and black leathers and trip the roads.. So My answer on your question is " it is not what you stress, that's the type you stress and why you stress it that way thats significant to you" For trip journeys i might restoration the scooter the motorbike or tinker with the MG or landy warm summer season days that could be a toss up between finished leathers (motorbike) or tee shirt and shorts ( MG) and a visit to the sea coast Landy). If the telephone rings and that is mum calling for help its a 250 mile mercy ! sprint to cornwall on the TDM. So my motorcycles are the two a! luxury and an significant area of my existence yet so are the vehicles ...the biggest situation is that in case you have £20.00 which tank do you pour the petrol into as you have then dedicated your self to that.....Show more

Emilie Santmyer: $555,000 for the Dodge Tomahawk 300 MPH motorcycle

Lindsey Zanardi: Production?Probably one of the Confederate Motorcycles models. The Tomahawk has four wheels. Its a car.

Catheryn Small: I don't know, but a Cyclone (manufactured in St. Paul, MN from 1912 to 1917) recently sold at auction for $500,000. I don't know if it was from Steve McQueens's collection or not, but if so, that would certainly have added to its value. The Dodge is not a real motorcycle. It has four wheels, and appears to be unrideable, a styling exercise more than a real vehicle.Vincents routinely bring more than $100,000 at auction; a Ducati 750SS (one of the real ones from ca. 1974) did the same last year....Show more

Claire Billegas: Moto ! GP bikes are about $2M. In the '90s, Honda charged $1M to LEASE a Grand Prix bike (plus spare parts) for one season. The Dodge Tomahawk is not actually available for sale.

Pearlie Medora: Jay Lenos turbine bike is the Millenium Y2K. I think they are available on special order from a guy in Florida. The most expensive bike I've seen that might not have made it to production was the Morbidelli V-8. made in Italy, a work of art, very small front to back v-8----$98,000. thats dollars not Lire. The Hesketh has to be in there somewhere. Made in England, V-twin, but think of it as a harley built by Rolls Royce. And they cost like that too....Show more
