phone static on land line?

Catheryn Barringer: I don't have a land line. Had one for a while, but it wasn't useful and I was always getting calls for other people. BQ~I'm not sure where the nearest payphone is around here. I recently learned that there are not pay phones in or close to state government buildings because of threat of terrorism. I remember that was one place you could always find one. Good morning

Sabra Roers: You probably have a bad jack or a nick somewhere in the wall in the wiring. If you plug in at the Network Interface outside and don't have any static there then you definitely have a problem inside. You could check each of the splitters and cords at the Network Interface to see if you have static when using one of them, or unplug everything except the kitchen phone and see if that resolves your problem.n...Show more
